It is made on the 8th month of pregnancy. The family come together to make this Mandana and then Chowki(low wooden seat for pooja) is placed on it. The pregnant woman sits on it, and is worshipped for the new born. Gifts will be given to her by family. The 8 points in the Mandana represent the 8 months of pregnancy.
